Hemant Kaushik
Professor and DeanHemant Kaushik is a Professor with Avantika University. He has been a pioneer in the Design, Art, Communication, and fashion Design education of India over the last 26+ years. National diploma in fine arts with honors from Government Institute of Fine Arts Indore. He has done an advanced diploma in multimedia graphics and animation. A doctorate from Barkatullah University, Bhopal in Drawing and Painting, he has donned multiple roles in the field of Design and Fashion academia. He also worked as a Principal, Head of Design, Art Director, and Guest Lecturer at various renowned private and government educational institutions. A master of Indian Traditional art, Folk Paintings, Wash Techniques, Contemporary Art, and their interpretation in the field of fashion and communication designing. He has unparalleled expertise in Mural Designing, Graphics, Etching, and Sculpture Design. recipient of many National and International Awards, an awardee of the prestigious National Kalidas Puraskar, and an official representative of India to the esteemed Fluda -Kunstentation Art Gallery, Germany. Hemant’s expertise in design extends well beyond the amalgamation of traditional arts with the art and design industry. Being excelled in education, he is a seeker and a traveler. He traveled extensively for his artistic pursuits all over India and internationally. He also traveled to France to understand European art, techniques, and styles of renowned masters of European art putting a gesture of modernism to his rooted art practice. Apart from having an unrivaled sense of aesthetics, Hemant has also displayed command in impeccable articulation in important topics about research in the Design and Fashion industry by presenting peer-reviewed academic papers in various international design journals, chairing international Design and Fashion conferences in collaboration with top global publications like Promostyl Paris and excelled as the Editor In Chief of Horizons in Art, Design & Education, one of the most internationally acclaimed journals in the field of designing. As an honor to his expertise, he has been invited time and again to work as a publication designer, a visual artist by India's oldest and biggest publication houses where he designed and structured publications of important scriptures, ancient literature. He also did illustrations and book covers of the highest aesthetic and symbolic quality which indeed bestowed him a big name in the industry of communication design. As a rooted educationalist, he has been pertinent in his responsibilities to guide students selflessly. He remained a Ph.D. examiner as well as a reviewer of Ph.D. in the field of art and design by esteemed universities. He has been a resource person for UGC-sponsored national seminars and conferences related to art and design, where he spoke as a keynote speaker.
